The Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa (AHILA) has established professional and collegial partnerships with the following organisations and institutions:

Africa Library & Information Association & Institutions (AfLIA)
  • AfLIA “pursues the interests of library and information associations, library and information services, librarians and information workers and the communities they serve in Africa.”
European Association for Health Information and Libraries (EAHIL) 
  • EAHIL “is an active association uniting librarians and information professionals working in medical and health science libraries in Europe”
International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) 
  • IFLA functions as “the global voice of libraries, representing the interests of the profession and working to improve services worldwide.” Its vision is to build “a strong and united global library field powering literate, informed and participatory societies.”
Medical Library Association (MLA) 
  • MLA’s vision is to be “the association of the most visible, valued, and trusted health information experts. MLA strives to enhance the quality of health care, education, and research throughout the world. To that end, MLA fosters excellence and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in professional practice, leadership of health sciences libraries, and information professionals, now and in the future”
