Mercy Monde (Zambia)
Mercy is Head Medical Librarian at the University Of Zambia Medical Library. She has interests in evidence-based healthcare (predominantly in nursing and medicine). She also has interests in systematic reviews, consumer health information, knowledge translation, open science and data science. As a researcher and academic librarian, Mercy is passionate about teaching and research collaboration. She is also involved in a number of health information research and projects to enhance health information in Africa with publications in local and international peer reviewed journals. She is 2021 Medical Library Association (MLA) Cunningham Memorial International Fellow as well as Better Evidence for Training Champion at The University of Zambia.

Mr Khutsafalo Kadimo (Botswana)
A Librarian at the University of Botswana, specializing in agriculture and medical research support. Currently pursuing a PhD, he holds the prestigious title of Medical Library Association (USA) Cunningham Memorial International Fellow. Kadimo is an accomplished author, researcher, and reviewer with an ORCID identifier. He contributes to various roles, including serving as Vice President of the Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa (AHILA), representing developing countries in the World Health Organization|Research4Life Group B, and holding positions in professional organizations like the Network of African Medical Librarians (NAML) and the Botswana Library Association (BLA). He also coordinates copyright and open access initiatives.

Biliamin O. Popoola (Nigeria)

Biliamin is the Systems, Scholarly Communications, and Evidence-Based Medicine Librarian at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Nigeria. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Ilorin Nigeria, an alumnus of the Carnegie Next-Generation Librarians Fellowship Programme at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and a recipient of the Cunningham International Fellowship by the Medical Library Association, U.S.A. As a librarian, researcher and knowledge management expert, Biliamin serves on various local and international initiatives. He is widely published and serves as a reviewer and editor for learned journals in Librarianship.

Violet E. Ikolo (Nigeria)
Deputy University Librarian, Medical Library, College of Health Sciences, Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. Violet is passionate about meeting the research needs of library users, through the delivery of relevant health information resources and services. She is a cataloguer, a teacher and a library administrator. She is a researcher with several local and international publications in reputable journals. Her areas of research interest are, health information resources and services, open science and developing capacity among librarians, information literacy, and library user satisfaction.

Works at the Bongani Mayosi Health Sciences Library at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Her professional interests include Open Access publishing and supporting medical students and staff through training in scholarly and research capabilities.

Rajabu Simba (Tanzania)
A dedicated advocate for Africa's Health Information Science sector. With extensive healthcare experience from Mount Meru Hospital (as a Medical Recorder) and CEDHA (as an Assistant Tutor) in Tanzania, he specializes in Health Information services, records, and technology. Rajabu excels in Medical libraries, Data science, Research Information Technology, Data management, and Teaching methodologies. His contributions to national projects include writing study protocols for Artificial Intelligence in disease prediction and digital blood bank management in Tanzania. Currently a Health Information Officer at the University of Dodoma, he aims to enhance Health libraries and Information services to elevate medical information dissemination and data quality continent-wide.

Glorias Asiimwe (Uganda)
Head Medical Librarian working at Busitema University Faculty of Health Sciences in Eastern Uganda. In AHILA, Glorias serves as the executive council member as well as the interim president for AHILA, the Uganda chapter. She holds a Master’s Degree in Information Sciences and Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Makerere University, Uganda. Glorias’ research interests are health information management, data science, information retrieval, and information literacy.

Dr. Grace A. Ajuwon (Nigeria)
An academic librarian with a PhD in Library and Information Studies, serves as the Medical Librarian at the University of Ibadan. Former President of AHILA, she offers reference services, conducts training on database searching, and conducts research on health information access. Her focus includes ICT use in libraries, systematic review processes, and digitization of resources. She publishes in peer-reviewed journals, presents at national and international conferences, and serves as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Health Information and Librarianship. A recipient of various research grants, she is recognized internationally for her contributions to the field.
